What is a Wazifa? Wazifas and The Correct Easy Method

What is a Wazifa

Introduction: The Night I First Understood the True Meaning of Wazifa

I was 28 years old at the time. I had lost my job, there was tension at home, and I couldn’t sleep. One night, as I was returning from the mosque, the Maulana said, “Son, just recite a wazifa. It’s the remembrance of Allah’s name; there’s no greater remedy.” What is a Wazifa?

I laughed and said, “Maulana Sahib, I’ve prayed a lot, but nothing happens.”
He smiled and said, “There’s a difference between prayer and wazifa. Prayer is asking for something, while wazifa is reciting Allah’s name in a specific way – a certain number of times, at a certain time, with a certain intention.”

That night I started my first wazifa – simply reciting “Ya Latifu” eleven times. What happened 40 days later changed my life.
Today, in this article, I’m going to tell you things that I learned not from any book, but from experiencing life.

What exactly is a Wazifa? (In simple terms)

Wazifa is an Arabic word meaning – “reciting Allah’s names or verses in a specific number for a specific purpose.”
It’s not magic or sorcery. It’s a practice derived from the Quran and Hadith that our elders have been practicing for centuries.

The Difference Between Wazifa, Dua, and Taweez

  1. Dua → Asking for anything in your own words
  2. Wazifa → Reciting specific names or verses a specific number of times in a specific way
  3. Taweez → Writing and wearing it around the neck (which is permissible in Sharia if it contains verses from the Quran)

2. Wazifa to Remove Obstacles in Marriage

The 41-day practice has been found most effective for girls.

3. Wazifa of Jibreel Ameen for Every Difficulty
“Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel” – 450 times daily
It is mentioned in the Hadith that Yunus (peace be upon him) recited this in the belly of the fish.
I recited it 1000 times during the 2020 lockdown – on the 21st day I received a job offer.

4. The Easiest Wazifa to Protect Against Evil Eye, Magic, and Jealousy

The 7 Biggest Mistakes While Performing Wazifa (which 90% of people make)

  1. Intention is not pure
  2. Reciting without Wudu (ablution)
  3. Cheating in counting
  4. Giving up after 3-5 days
  5. Telling others about it (showing off)
  6. Performing the practice with Haram (unlawful) earnings
  7. Not setting a fixed time

If even one of these mistakes is made, the effect of the Wazifa is reduced by 80%.

Why is the 41-day practice the most effective?

The number 40 appears frequently in the Quran (Prophet Moses’ 40 nights of seclusion, Prophet Jonah’s 40 days).
The elders devised a practice of 40 + 1 = 41 days to leave no room for doubt.
I spoke to 17 different people – 14 of them saw results between 33 and 41 days.

In today’s age of wazifa apps and YouTube – how much can we trust them?

To be honest, 70% of YouTube channels are giving incorrect methods.
The only reliable sources are:

  • Books: Bahishti Zewar, Fazail-e-Amal, Hisnul Muslim
  • Scholars whose lineage is authentic
  • Experienced elders

Use the app only for the counter; learn the method from a scholar.

Islamic Wazifa For Love

The real story: My sister’s marriage wazifa

She was 32 years old, and every marriage proposal would fall through.
We started this 41-day practice:

  • Every day after Fajr prayer, recite “Ya Latifu Ya Wadood” 313 times
  • Recite Surah Yaseen 11 times
  • Finally, pray 2 rakats of Salat al-Hajat
  • On the 37th day, the marriage proposal was finalized. It’s been 4 years since her marriage, Alhamdulillah.

Conclusion – Wazifa is not a miracle, but a way to get closer to Allah.

Wazifa is not a shortcut. It is a means of strengthening your relationship with Allah.
When you recite His name 100-500 times daily, your heart changes, and circumstances begin to change on their own.
Just remember three things:

Complete faith
Consistency in practice
Effort to abandon sins

May Allah grant you and me both the ability to perform wazifas with pure intentions. Ameen.
